About Colorado Desert
The western subdivision of the Sonoran Desert in southeastern California. Includes the Salton Sea and the Coachella and Imperial valleys. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California. Much of it lies below sea level. Named for the Colorado River, not the state.
