About Ustyurt Plateau
A clay and stone desert plateau between the Caspian Sea and the Aral Sea. Bounded on most sides by steep escarpments called chinks. Winters fall far below freezing while summers are scorching. Saiga antelope migrate across it. Ancient stone walled hunting traps known as desert kites are visible from the air.
